Are you fit to shoot with one of the best car photographers in the world?

In an all-out drive to help keen car photographers improve their shooting skills, Calumet is searching for FIFTEEN photographers to work with top professional Tim Wallace on an exclusive two-day spring seminar event. The Flash Wheels II workshop at the famous Land Rover Experience site near Birmingham, comes hot-on-the-heels of the first Flash Wheels seminar event last autumn. Francesca Munden, Calumet’s PR and Events Coordinator said: “The response to the first one-day workshop was excellent, so this is our two-day follow-up. We’re looking for just fifteen photographers – they can be professionals, aspirational amateurs or car enthusiasts – to join renowned car photographer Tim Wallace on April 20th and 21st. These delegates will need to be fit enough to handle some hill walking but they will enjoy a full-on, action-packed car shooting extravaganza, which will cover all the key elements they need to improve their skill levels in this photo-genre. These include: the key elements of car photography, what it takes to become a competent car photographer, the environment and how it impacts on mood; DSLR versus medium format capture; lighting, shooting styles and shooting car-to-car techniques.”
The second day includes the following topics:
* The ‘commercial shark tank’: how to cope in the early days of a new career. * Professional workflow * How to use past traditions and techniques into today’s digital workflow *Post production.

The Flash Wheels II event, supported by Hasselblad, Profoto, Epson and onOne, costs £400 (incl VAT) per delegate and includes lunches. Additionally, Epson will provide one free finished digital print to each photographer at the end of the second day.
