Fujifilm at Calumet

Fujifilm

Fujifilm Holdings Corporation or formerly known as Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. is a Japanese company producing and selling photographic film and cameras. Fujifilm is the world’s largest photographic and imaging company. Fujifilm operates 223 subsidiary companies for research, manufacture and distribution of products. Their manufacturing facilities are established in Asia, Europe, and the United States of America.

In 1934 Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. was established in Japan. The founding was based on a government plan to establish a domestic photographic film manufacturing industry. The new company inherited the split-off photographic film operations of Dainippon Celluloid Company Limited. In 2006 FUJIFILM Corporation has taken over the business operations of the former Fuji Photo Film Co., Ltd. Every operation is since then under the overall direction of the Fujifilm Group holding company, FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation.
